The recently developed Holywood Exchange also boasts, amongst other large retail outlets, Northern Ireland's only IKEA store, with a coffee shop overlooking the runway of Belfast City Airport for a unique shopping day out. Ikea is located a 5 minute drive away from Downshire Townhouse.

Holywood is an excellent location from which to explore North Down and further afield, with excellent transport facilities in terms of road, bus, rail, and ferry terminal connections, with the George Best Belfast City Airport located nearby.
